About SignatureCare Emergency Center
SignatureCare Emergency Center is a premier, integrated healthcare provider that strives to anticipate and respond to the emergency medical needs of the community. It was founded by three talented local physicians with extensive clinical experience; Hashibul Hannan, MD, Aaron Braun, DO, and Kanti Bansal, MD.
SignatureCare Emergency Center and its employees take pride in providing excellent medical care to members of the local community.
Our History
In 2013, Dr. Hashibul Hannan, MD, Dr. Aaron Braun, DO, and Dr. Kanti Bansal, MD, driven by their passion for quality emergency medical care, saw the need for emergency centers built in local communities that are dedicated solely to meeting the medical care needs of those communities.
To fulfill that need, they took over Physician ER , a local emergency center in the Mission Bend / Sugar Land area and later renamed it SignatureCare Emergency Center.
As the ER thrived, the three friends saw the need to expand to other locations in the Greater Houston area. This led to the establishment of freestanding emergency rooms in Montrose (Houston Midtown), Memorial City, Houston Heights, and Westchase areas. Locations in South Austin, Stafford, and College Station/Bryan, TX soon followed.
In late 2018, they acquired six new locations including Odessa and Midland in West Texas, Paris and Texarkana in Northeast Texas, and Bellaire and Copperfield in the Houston area. Additional emergency rooms in Cypress-FM 1960 (Houston area), Killeen, Lewisville, Pflugerville, Atascocita/Humble, Spring, and Plano, TX soon followed.
Our Founders
Dr. Kanti Bansal, MD
Dr. Bansal is a founding member of SignatureCare Emergency Center. He is heavily involved in the management of the company.
Dr. Bansal is board-certified in emergency medicine. Before becoming an attending physician, he served as Chief Resident of his emergency medicine residency at Metropolitan Hospital Center in Manhattan, New York.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a minor in Computer Science from Brandeis University in Massachusetts.
Prior to founding the company, Dr. Bansal worked as an emergency room physician for several years at many hospitals in the Greater Houston Metro area, including Memorial Hermann Southwest, Memorial Hermann Southeast, Memorial Hermann Memorial City, St. Catherine’s Hospital in Katy, Texas, as well as St. Mary’s Hospital in Beaumont, Texas.
When he is not attending to the affairs of SignatureCare Emergency Center, Dr. Bansal enjoys hanging out with his wife and children.
Dr. Aaron Braun, DO
Dr. Aaron Braun is a board-certified emergency medicine physician. He graduated from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a minor in Business and Psychology.
After graduation, he studied medicine at Midwestern University in Downers Grove, Illinois, and then completed a residency in emergency medicine.
Dr. Braun has worked in Houston, Texas since 2010. During this time, he has volunteered as a member of the Harris County Sheriff’s Department as physician for high-risk investigations and SWAT operations. 24 Hour Emergency Clinic.
In his free time Dr. Braun enjoys spending time with his wife and children.
Dr. Hashibul Hannan, MD
Dr. Hashibul Hannan earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry and Chemistry from State University of New York at Stony Brook. He also completed his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree at the same university.
Afterwards he completed his internship at Robert Wood Johnson University in New Jersey, his residency in emergency medicine at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, and his fellowship in emergency ultrasound at Drexel University in Pennsylvania.
Dr. Hannan is board certified in emergency medicine. He has held leadership roles at multiple Houston area hospitals since 2008, including Memorial Herman Southwest and North Cypress Medical Center where he oversaw the quality assurance and peer-review processes in the hospital’s emergency department.
